Helicopter Mechanic Killed in Iraq

Another 3rd Infantry Division soldier has died in Iraq.

The Department of Defense says 26-year-old Specialist Melvin Henley died from injuries suffered from a non-combat related incident.

His family members say he was on his second tour of duty and scheduled to come home in October of next year.

Henley was a helicopter mechanic from Mississippi stationed at Fort Stewart and assigned to the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, Third Combat Aviation Brigade.
